Security mechanisms (Built into the Skill)
We understand the critical importance of asset security. Therefore, we have implemented multiple security layers within the Skill to ensure your trading process is completely secure.
Mechanism | Description |
Testnet by Default | New users connect to the Testnet by default. Switching to the Mainnet requires explicit confirmation, preventing accidental trades. |
Transaction Confirmation Card | Before executing any trade on the Mainnet, a structured confirmation card is displayed. The user must type CONFIRM to proceed. |
Large Order Protection | An additional warning is triggered if an order exceeds 20% of the account balance or $10,000. |
API Key Sanitization | API key information returned by the API only shows the first 5 and last 4 characters to protect your keys. |
Environment-First Configuration | Guiding users to store API keys in environment variables to avoid exposing them in conversation history. |
Clock Sync Check | Automatically detects clock deviation upon first connection and prompts for correction if the skew is > 5s. |
Prompt Injection Protection | Text fields returned from the API are for display only and are not executed, preventing malicious command injection. |
Read-Only Fallback | If a module fails to load, write operations are automatically disabled to ensure asset safety. |
Rate Limit Protection | Built-in 429 backoff strategy and call interval rules to prevent API rate limit errors. |
User flow
- User opens https://www.bybit.com/ai
- Copies the one-line command and sends it to an AI assistant (e.g., Claude / ChatGPT / OpenClaw).
- The AI automatically reads the Skill and guides the user through API Key configuration (defaults to Testnet).
- Trade using natural language:
• "What's the price of BTC?" → Market Data
• "Buy 500 USDT of ETH" → Spot Order
