To enhance your trading experience and align with industry standards, we're updating the display names for all USDC Derivatives on Bybit's web and app platforms. This change improves clarity and consistency across Perpetual Contracts, Delivery Futures and Options.
✅ What's changing?
Starting Apr 28, 2025, display names will be using the following format:
- BTC-PERP → BTCUSDC
- BTC-27JUN25 → BTCUSDC-27JUN25
- BTC-27JUN25-75000-C → BTCUSDC-27JUN25-75000-C
✅ Key details
- No impact on trading: All orders and positions remain active. No action is needed.
- API unchanged: The symbol parameter stays the same for USDC Derivatives.
- New API field: We're introducing a display name parameter under "Instrument Info" to help align frontend names with internal systems.
✅ Why the update
We're streamlining product naming so you can quickly recognize USDC-settled contracts across platforms — making trading more intuitive and efficient.
✅ What you need to do
- Manual traders: Note the updated names starting Apr 28.
- API traders: No changes are required, but we recommend using the new display name field if needed for display or reporting alignment.
